Membership

Mrs. Stanton’s 1815 birth here in Johnstown, NY established the epicenter of the women’s rights movement and she spent her life promoting the importance of women’s equality and suffrage. The Elizabeth Cady Stanton Hometown Association is committed to upholding her legacy through a variety of educational events, community service projects, and a student oratory scholarship contest. Membership dues support these annual activities. Our website will feature ECSHA activities and provide links to additional sources for information about equality, suffrage, and women’s rights. We offer members free or discounted admission to our events and are accepting membership applications in the following categories:

Donations

Incorporated in June 2008, ECSHA has 501c3 non-profit status with the IRS to allow for tax deductable donations. If you wish to support the educational, community service, and economic development goals of the organization, in addition to or separate from membership, you may make a donation in any amount to the above listed address. All contributions are gratefully accepted and will be used for our community service and educational activities.
